Creativity can be nurtured.


Apparently the Porsche 911 is so called because it was "Mad Idea No 911". The system that created it encouraged an acceptance of the origin of ideas, yet gave it the accountants twist of becoming a number.


We all have a creative side.

Perhaps some earlier cultures, whilst not having many of the technological advances we now have, had a better understanding of the origins of Ideas, and  allowed us a certain removal from this part of our personalities.

If you have not seen it, watch this TED talk by the author Elizabeth Gilbert, who is faces with the challenge of the "difficult second book" after the great success of her first. It gives some extraordinary insight into the origins of ideas, and perhaps the creation of this talk served as a wonderful distraction from the really difficult task she is facing.
